The Rig was built in 1984 and has since been continually upgraded and modified. Today the rig can meet the challenges within research, testing and development of new technology.

Tasmanian Product; BLH Stop Drop™ Barricading installed on the oil and gas industry’s International Research Institute in Stavanger, recognized as “The Oil Capital of Norway”.

The install was done in cooperation between BLH-DOM Integrity Solutions and Dropped Object Management (DOM) Group Offshore together with Orange Offshore.

Orange Offshore is the latest addition to distributors of the innovative and unique BLH Stop Drop Barricading Systems, produced by the Tasmanian BLH Safety Solutions.

BLH Stop Drop™ Barricading is newly installed at IRIS – International Research Institute of Stavanger – which is a recognised research institute with high focus on applied research with a unique full scale testing facility at Ullrigg Drilling & Well Centre. Conducting research activities in petroleum, new energy, marine environment, biotechnology and social science and business development. BLH Stop Drop™ Barricading is securing high hazard areas at this unique state-of-the-art research facility, recognized throughout the industry.
